Toys de Bizarre Escape Room

Toys by Bizarre Escape Room

Strange things are happening on Gat Amagat (*) Street, we have an hour to solve a mystery inside the Toys store. For many years the neighbours have brought their broken toys to a nice toymaker who fixed them, but lately they have not seen him in the neighborhood, he doesn’t answer the calls anymore… nor he returns the toys!

The puzzles are very good and for all tastes, most are very visual and some have amazing mechanisms. The decoration is very elaborated and contributes to the immersion. You need to remember that you are on a mission because as soon as you enter the toy store you will start playing with everything you find.

The room has so many distractions that each one of us began to play with something different without arguing about the turns, as it used to happen with our siblings when we were kids. That’s the biggest challenge so you’d better set aside the individual game and communicate all the findings with the rest of the team.

Perhaps the weakest element in this room is that the end of the story becomes predictable as the game progresses, but that does not mean it’s boring. You’ll be non-stop solving riddles and puzzles. It is a very entertaining and complete game!

In short, Toys has the flavor of a Christmas pudding and of those mornings of unwrapping presents and finding new toys. We played Toys and Circus – Bizarre‘s first escape room – on the same day and we enjoyed both experiences!

(*) Gat amagat means “hidden cat” in Catalan, but its a way of saying that something is fishy.

And if you manage to escape from Toys, you can complete your plan as follows:

Snack
Ikki Bar

Carrer de Cabanes 23, Barcelona

This small Japanese tasca has a distinctive feature: the menu has an Italian touch! So, if you love the Fuji as much as the Vesuvius, Dani and Yuki’s proposal is just for you.

They offer lunch menu, but their specialty are the tapas and the vermouth time. Of course, do leave some place for the dessert, their matcha tiramisu has inter-district fame!

Food
El Jabalí

Ronda Sant Pau 15, Barcelona

Among a bunch of hipster restaurants you will find this traditional oasis. El Jabalí is a good place for eating sandwiches made with the best ingredients, since they offer a wide variety of hams, cold meats and cheeses. The lunch menu usually includes typical Catalan dishes.
