Roomin Escape is a classic room which has the merit of having introduced many people to the geek world of escape rooms in Barcelona. You have to find clues about a gang of mobsters in the city and you only have 60 minutes to escape from the room before they return.
The enigmas are well thought out. As expected in a game that is already a few years old, they combine visual games and a lot of locks. The decoration is not as elaborate as in the current rooms, but it fits the story. The game master we got was quite pragmatic and correct.
It’s been almost three years since we’ve been to Roomin. Being one of our first games, the impression we got was positive. It’s a good room for beginners and gives you that good taste of a custom-made room done with passion.
We recommend it to families and friends, as there don’t try to frighten or scare you. We don’t know how long they can last without changing the theme and the enigmas, because given the boom of excellent rooms in the city in recent years it is difficult to withstand the pressure of competition.
Roomin Escape would be categorized as a neighborhood bar with good home-cooked food and a love for the industry. In short: a good experience.
- Made with love.
- Old-fashioned enigmas.
If you manage to escape from Roomin you can complete your plan as follows:
A Casa Portuguesa
Carrer de l’Or 8, Barcelona
This place offers Portuguese sweets of excellent quality and is a true embassy of Portuguese flavors in the city. Of course, coffee accompanied by a Pastel de Belém is essential. Also highly recommended are the millefeuille and all the magnificent breads to take home, especially the Pão da Avó or “grandmother’s bread”.
Carrer Astúries 93, Barcelona
They are undoubtedly masters of doughnuts and cronuts. First of all we must confess that we secretly adore their brigadeiros, Brazilian chocolate sweets with maaaaaaaany calories. Chök has opened new premises since its opening in Carrer del Carme and now they are also located in Carrer Ramalleres, in Gràcia and near Glòries.
It’s a safe haven if you want to get a glucose shot. It’s not hard to see Debora, the founder, preparing some chocolate treats in the kitchen.
Carrer Milà i Fontanals 60, Barcelona
An excellent place to go as a group and try different and surprising Nepalese dishes. A cheap, spacious and unpretentious place where the service is correct and you can spend a good time after going to an escape room to chat about the game. Especially Tikka Masala chicken and Thukpa soup are highly recommended.
